ESPN Eagles Rugby on SaturdaysAugust 18, 2008 7:46 pm
ESPN has finally started to show Rugby on the family of networks again. Though it's been relegated to ESPN Classic at least it's showing up. The next match I know of is this Saturday (8/23) 3pm EDT, the Eagles vs Munster and it will be shown live. This is the 2nd one I've seen where the match in South Carolina vs ASM Clermont was on last Saturday. I know most of us likely have Setanta, but if the sport is going to grow stateside it needs to be on a common network and this seems to be a start. Also there was a petition I came across, I'm not sure how recent this is but it can't hurt to sign it. Be carefull about putting your address on there it actually shows in the main listing of signatures. http://www.petitiononline.com/rugby Category: World Sports New All Blacks JerseyJune 30, 2008 6:21 am
Well, the 3rd State Of Origin game is on Wednesday Night which means it's just about time for me to turn my attention to the Tri Nations and Bledisloe cup. With that in mind I decided to put the new All Blacks Jersey up as my avatar, assuming the good people at CBS approve it. I'm sure my new Kiwi mates are going to like it. BTW if you can't read the writing under the hand it says: Chokers 1991 1995 1999 2003 2007 Category: World Sports Conrad Smith is the answerJune 14, 2008 6:33 am
Conrad Smith is the answer to the All Blacks troubles at centre. If you have watched the games against Ireland and England you would have seen how Smiths game has developed and evolved, he can break the line with relative ease, his passing is superb and he can use his speed to his advantage. Most of all his decision making is spot on... Since Tana Umaga retired the All Blacks haven't had a true centre, now Conrad Smith is back at full health, he can takeover the reins and help lead us to glory once again... Thoughts? Category: World Sports Crusdaers losing their X-Factor for 2009 campaignJune 14, 2008 4:17 am
Without Robbie Deans, will the Crusdaers not have the X-Factor they have always had. Players have gone down there, Rico Gear and Ali Williams to name two, and have lived up to there potential, become All Blacks. Players get better down there, the Crusaders team was always good..(in recent history) The atmosphere and aura of the team, people have always said, comes down to Robbie Deans. I'm just wondering, without Robbie Deans, will the Crusaders get into the finals again for the 2009 campaign? Category: General |
